Steve David is Chief Executive Officer at FundBank (Europe) S.A. (currently operating as a SOPARFI under the corporate denomination “FB Tech SA”) and has over 30 years’ experience in the Luxembourg financial sector.
Steve joined FundBank in Luxembourg in early 2024. In this role, Steve is responsible for the obtention of the banking license for FundBank in Luxembourg, and within continental Europe. He also leads the development and execution of the bank’s strategy in continental Europe and its business development activities. Steve’s remit also extends to the key areas of governance and regulatory oversight.
Previously, Steve spent almost 20 years with Northern Trust, based in Luxembourg, beginning as the Head of Risk and Control for its Luxembourg Management Company S.A. Other roles included Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of the management company. He assumed the role of Country Head for Northern Trust Luxembourg from 2012 to 2019, going on to become Chief Operating Officer for Northern Trust’s EU Bank in Luxembourg, NTGS SE. From January 2021 until December 2023, Steve was the Chief Executive Officer of NTGS SE and Head of Continental Europe. In this role, Steve led its global fund services business in Luxembourg.
Steve began his professional career as an auditor with Price Waterhouse in 1994 and went on to join Chase Manhattan Bank Luxembourg S.A. in 1998 where he worked in the quality assurance and compliance/fiduciary departments.
Steve qualified as a Chartered Accountant (expert comptable) from the Ministère des Classes Moyennes and has a Degree in Business Administration from the Institut Catholique des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (ICHEC) (Business College).
